The daVinci Workshop is an initiative to create a museum/workspace where artists and scientists can come together to create installations using common physical and cultural components of society in a context of community space. We intend to use an existing building or set of buildings to allow artists and scientists access to shared equipment, tools, and creativity as they create public installations that combine art and science. The workshop will provide:

  1. A workshop for artists and scientists to collaborate, share ideas and expertise and create public installations for placement throughout the city.
  2. A space where the public can see artists and scientists working alongside one another and that allows them to discover how things are made, as well as view the tools and processes being used to create installations.
  3. A spawning ground for new works of art and science, creativity and collaborations that arise from community interactions and involvement in the process of creation.
